There are two easy ways to quickly identify a Westerbeke W30, 4/91, or a Newage Captain 1500, or Tempest Captain 1500, or Thornycroft 154 engine:
Check, on the starboard (or right) side of the engine for the fuel injection pump sticking out at a right angle to the block. This is a strong indicator.
Then...
Look, on the port (or left) bow (or forward) quarter of the engine for a bold '1500', with a capital 'D' underneath it. This confirms the basic engine. Auxilliary/ancilliary equipment will differ from engine to engine, but this ID means that all parts listed on our website will fit your engine.
